Entertained by Sin?
Proudly satan boasts, no one believes in me anymore!
The world and almost all who dwell in it, with a hitherto unknown desperation need to become alert to satan’s wiles.
As Christian faith is diluted sin is harder to reckon.
It is the righteous (those who have matured in faith) that have trained themselves in dividing good from evil.
Satan only ever multiplies his deceits. He continues to makes sin less offensive, heaven less appealing, hell less horrific and the Gospel less urgent.
REMEMBER: when the evil-one whispers to you, with all your might resist satan and he will flee. Come near to God and He will come near to you. (James 4:7-8a)
By drawing close to the Lord you have replaced/exchanged evil influence with pure influence.
The closer you draw to the Lord, the less space satan has to occupy between you and the Lord.
We should not be entertained by the sins for which Christ died. ~ John MacArthur
