2 Sure Stones to fell your Covid Giants!
There is a God who remains the same, and whose years never end (Psalm 102:27)
Needles and vaccine to 7,886,738,769 people is an unprecedented endeavor in mankind's history. (World Population Clock @ 1:30pm AEST, August 17, 2021)
BUT - how really weary is this over-used word, unprecedented?
It is unprecedented that unprecedented should gain such massive verbal traction.
Flying from every news report across the unseen 'international magic' of media unprecedented is repetitively honored. Fear is fertilized.
Not too many stones remain unturned when it comes to the Covid crisis except to say:
these times are best managed as any other crisis - with our Lord as refuge and hope.
‘Trust’ and ‘recall’ are two striking elements to continue this Covid conversation. They issue a believer to prayer.
To clasp the hands in prayer is the beginning of an uprising against the disorder of the world. ~ Karl Barth
Trust in hardship … trust in the season of fear … trust always in His loving goodness will seal our trust in His perfect and deliberate intentions.
Trust Jesus with all your tomorrows - do this today. Why? Because He has already been there.
No plans of evil can thwart His plans of righteousness. Prayer is the expression of trust. Such faith casts out fear.
Recall His past goodness to you, for He cannot change. Yesterday’s help, yesterday’s victories and yesterday’s strengths in weakness will still carry you for today. This hope always belongs to those who would apprehend Jesus as Lord.
I will call to mind the deeds of the Lord; I will remember Your wonders of old. (Psalm 77:11)
‘Trust’ and ‘recall’ – are just two small and smooth pebbles; all that you need to hurl and fell your Covid giants.
