Wisdom & Truth are Married#
c
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom...' (Proverbs 9:10)
Wisdom & Truth are a married pair, a couple of pure integrity.
They can’t be divorced without damaging consequences.
Truth first comes from God. Faith apprehends this.
So, what happens if we have Truth but not Wisdom, for they are now divorced?
Wisdom begins with the fear of God, i.e. fearing the consequences of not honoring Him.
If only I have Truth and not Wisdom I am to be most pitied. For, it is then I have truth without understanding consequences of behavior. I am handicapped in dividing good from evil.
Many Christians today know God’s truth, that Jesus is the only savior, but they don’t live in wisdom - the fear of God. Their fear of man is stronger.
Truth without wisdom is merely a head knowledge of God’s laws and His Son. It fails to consider that God's righteous ways are still to be always upheld.
Wisdom submits ourselves and our nation to God. The world thinks it’s wise not to submit to God; courting wickedness it can only harvest destruction.
Evil should be actively shunned, and by Christians even in the public square.
'The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom...' (Psalm 110:10)
