Why did Adam sin?
Soul Snack 9/126 ... The Monarch of Paradise - A
All forms of succulents surrounded Adam. Shamelessly he walked naked through his own brand new paradise. The verdant grasses, the rich colours and the pleasant sounds adorned his every sense.
His permanent presence already secured by obedience to God's good and clear instruction. There was only one!
And the LORD God commanded the man, "You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die." Gen 2:16-17
This was the most basic and simple guidance. It was not confusing. There was no extra instruction that may cause confusion. There was no 'middleman' that may relay the message inaccurately. Eden was no garden of misinformation. This was an unadulterated paradise with an equally unambiguous command.
With only one instruction to obey I would have naively guessed that Adam should get this correct!
Adam literally walked with God. He ruled paradise. After Eve's creation he even had no needs.
So why did he sin?
He simply listened to another voice. Immediately he found out it can be easier to sin than not to.
So often the path of ease may simply be the track to trouble!
