Where Jesus Walked ~ A#
The above image is Mt. Hermon in north Israel, one of two possible sites where Jesus was transfigured. Mt. Tabor is the alternative.
As He was praying, the appearance of His face changed, and His clothes became as bright as a flash of lightning. Two men, Moses and Elijah, appeared in glorious splendor, talking with Jesus. They spoke about His departure, which He was about to bring to fulfillment at Jerusalem. (Luke 9:29-31)
Is it not so, that mankind strives valiantly and vainly for his own glory? Then he withers and dies missing the brightest glory forever. Consumed in his light he is blinded from seeking Jesus' pure glory.
To serve your glory is burdensome, but to serve Jesus' glory is blessed.
Building your glory must always compete with Jesus. Yet, the human heart soars when you give the Lord glory.
Pursuing your glory is to rob yourself.
The Last Word:
There is laid for Jesus, and all that believe in Him, such glory as the human heart never conceived. ~ J.C. Ryle#
