Where are you on the devotion scale?
Soul Snack 7/11 ... The Mirror of the Cross
Adultery is unfaithfulness. Largely it is unseen.
A Saviour, whose invitation to me is mirrored at the cross, was not nailed for a weekly sixty-minute shot of middle class harmony, usually on a Sunday morning.
Both the knowledgable and the ignorant are fed the wealth of man's knowledge from the pulpit-written diet while they are led or maybe cajoled to the slaughter of the spiritually lazy.
Where is the sage who calls again for nail-pierced hands?
Where is the pulpiteer who falls flat before Heaven at every sermon, and whose soul pants for God?
Where is the prophet who calls for torn hearts and amended lives?
Christ's bride, His church, commits adultery each day when it withholds from Jesus the devotion He gave at the cross and then gives this energy to another.
Babylon still has the heart of so many weakened believers and consequently His Church remains adulterous.
How long until Jesus returns? And when He does will He find faith-filled devotion in His bride?
For we live by faith, not by sight. (2 Cor 5:7)
