A PARABLE of COMPROMISE!#
Jesus as a possible door, a possible way, and a possible truth.
Satan prowls within the Christian church. (Judgement begins with house of God... 1 Peter 4:17)
The Parable...
Christian churches contained a formal and spiritless devotion, thus most pews were collecting dust, especially at the front. Hence a new 'Christian' church was to be formed.
There was a genuine ambition to combine all of the good things from the denominations. They reckoned on one coherent, acceptable gospel that would be attractive to disaffected Christians, practising Christians and also attract new converts.
They each took a red pen and began work on updating the Bible. Jesus’ words were altered, only slightly, to remove the notion of hell so as not to scare children or new converts.
The gender-benders lobby argued successfully to render all characters, including Adam, Eve, and Jesus Himself as gender neutral beings.
The pacifists removed any reference to anger, conflict and war.
The Marxists removed all references to hierarchy.
Jesus became a possible door, a possible way, and a possible truth. Most agreed that this would be an easier sell to a post-modern society where inclusivity and a personal truth that defines, dictates and governs 'reality'.
Finally a great party was held, backslapping of this new enlightenment abounded. The end product was a 'wonderful' compilation of dreams, hopes and aspirations that reflected a new truth, a new way and a new light.
As with Samson (Judges 16) a catastrophe ended the celebrations.
I am the Way, the Truth and the Life, no one comes to the Father but through Me. (John 14:6)
The gospel of Jesus the Christ stands alone. It is God’s only rescue of you and me.
The Last Word:
There is no 'sensitive' way to dance around Christian exclusivity. God never changes. Nor, does His truth. Don't get caught in dilution - there is no compromise.
