When The Angels Come
There is no faithfulness until there is first hardship.
Faithfulness is the compass needle that points to obedience and away from flight - during the terrors of life. Only in faithfulness is Jesus' return waited upon.
It is at the end of the age that:
- the angels will weed out of God's kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil. (Matthew 13:41)
- the angels will come and separate the wicked from the righteous. (Matthew 13:49)
Purity has always been God's design for His world, it continues as His intention. This intention the angels obey and will ensure.
Purity (and not pollution) operates the valves within God's heart.
Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness. (2 Timothy 2:19c)
Despite all evidence to the contrary, God's sure architecture of this world remains as firm as it was before the six days of creation.
Draw then both strength and comfort, for those who stand firm are sealed with this inscription the angels too see:
The Lord knows those who are His. (2 Timothy 2:19b)
