When Only Stones Are Thrown#
Stones rained on Stephen. He stood and then fell for testimony and truth. He feared not man.
Under the hail Stephen gazed upwards and witnessed heaven open. He saw the welcome of heaven when earth only threw stones. (Read the full story of the first Christian martyr in Acts 6 & 7)
But he, full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God. (Acts 7:55)
High revelations and suffering go hand in hand. Everything has a price.
Today there are many, (so many) who are being persecuted and killed - not because they have done any harm - but simply because they love Jesus.
Will Jesus open their eyes to comfort in the moment of death? Yes!
As our day is, so our strength will be.
God is attentive to His people's miseries. Heaven is open to those who suffer for Him and need strength.#
