Treasures of Darkness
There is hidden 'wealth' in unplumbed places.
Is it all believers who pass through trials of body and souls? Darkness descends, but it is such dark times that are the rich fodder for eternity. Refuse to lament their presence, only their absence. There is a refreshing spiritual power/energy/knowledge to be gained. And, later used for the good Lord's benefit.
3000 years ago a pimple-faced skinny youth stared down, and then took down, Goliath.
Israel’s soon to be 2nd king already knew how to fight in times of fear:

2,500 years later another pimple-faced skinny youth stared down, and then took down another but mightier Goliath. Martin Luther faced off the papal giant of Roman Catholicism. This soon to become Reformation king already knew how to fight in times of darkness.

The days of darkness teach treasures otherwise unknown, and unreachable. They take a Christian to the depths of faith, for that is where the treasures lie.
I will give you the treasures of darkness and the hoards in secret places, that you may know that it is I, the LORD, the God of Israel, who call you by your name. ~ Isaiah 45:3
