There is real favor from the Lord on earth for His own. There sure too is trouble, but that is not the end of the matter. There comes relief, and thus restoration. The goodness of the second state will trump the goodness of first.
In relief and restoration the believer receives steak on your plate while you wait, and not just pie in the sky when you die. (anon)
You turned my wailing into dancing; You removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy. (Psalm 30:11)
God's favor, our rejoicing/dancing/joy comes in this life, we are not forced to wait until heaven.
Anger, wailing, weeping, sackcloth are finite, they carry time-limits, use-by dated indelibly from Heaven.
It is the good Lord Himself who re-dresses our sackcloth with suits. Tears have fled.
Go, eat your food with gladness, and drink new wine with a joyful heart, for it is now that God favors what you do. (Ecclesiastes 9:7)
Hold steadfast in season/s of hardship, for while in our Lord's deep valleys of mercy the hour of restoration is marked upon His calendar.
