Thinking with grace

Soul Snack 133/10 ... Life's Cement

Residing in the vestibule of our minds is the imagination of blessing or burden.

At the forefront of our thinking is how we read life's exchanges and perceive each response given to us.

What one receives as a joy, another may receive as a jarring.

Yet, in the gracious wisdom of heaven, we are counselled to always think well of each other and do well to others.

If the frosting to life is good-will, then the cement of life will always be grace. Grace allows us to believe well of another, even when we are not inclined to.

When grace lives at the front of the mind (in the vestibule), ill-will can't be found at the back.

For out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks. The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him. (Mt 12:34b-35)
