The Uplands of God#
For we live by faith and not by sight. (2 Corinthians 5:7)
To be living at our faith's best is a difficult task. Many a christian may faint at this.
We linger in the lowlands because to climb the mountains is most daunting.
The steepness and ruggedness of these treks multiply dismay. Hence we stay in the misty valleys, not rising above to enjoy the new unseen mysteries that await.
We do not know what we lose in our self-indulgence, what goodness and glory awaits us if only we had courage for the mountain climb.
Oh - what blissful satisfaction we shall find should we move to the uplands of God.#
Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. (Hebrews 10:23)
The Last Word:
Faith, hope and promises feel inherently insecure, but He who gives them is not.
