The Profit of Space#
- He brought me out into a spacious place; He rescued me because he delighted in me. (2 Samuel 22:20, Psalm 18:1)
- You have not given me into the hands of the enemy but have set my feet in a spacious place (Psalm 31:8)
Spacious places indicate a Divine kindness. The verses above speak loudly that an expansive landscape is a Divine gift - not simply a personal choice.
A vastness in the view encourages a spaciousness of the mind... and just then - probably a widening within the heart to make further room for Him.
Spacious places are safer places, any approaching enemy is visible.
Spaciousness is a wall for peace within. Yet, man chases cluster high-rise and the soul multiplies in distress.
Where there is an uninterrupted space, opportunity smiles upon a heightened self-audit and a growing awareness to approach God.
The soul that values spaciousness likely knows that magnetic attraction of God.
As God gives you space, so too return His grace.
