The Harbor of Refuge
Who holds the salve when the heart thumps and the spirit aches?
Where is there a harbor of refuge for those lost to love?
Where is the safe haven for the love starved, the comfort seeker or the thirsty soul apart from presence of the God who is love?
The Divine appeal to the love lost or the solace escapee is to find ease within His mighty arms and under the shadow of His Spirit. He is a harbor of comfort and refreshment for all who venture in.
Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. (Ps 91:1)
Abiding on Heaven's lap or retreating to His shade is not subject to rejection or impatience.
God will no more restrain His love than He would prevent the sun rising.
The harbor of refuge is within the embrace of God for all who would sail to His presence.
