The Gate of the Year#
In Him was life, and that life is the light of men. (John 1:3)
And I said to the man who stood at the gate of the year:
“Give me a light, that I may tread safely into the unknown!”
And he replied:
“Go out into the darkness and put your hand into the Hand of God.
That shall be to you better than light and safer than a known way.”
So, I went forth, and finding the Hand of God, trod gladly into the night.#
Let 2022 be a pleasing year of lasting assurance holding the Lord's hands. It is His charge to each disciple that we tread where we cannot see. Full of trust we follow Him comfortably into the unknown.
Open for me the gates of the righteous;
I will enter and give thanks to the Lord.
This is the gate of the Lord
through which the righteous may enter. (Psalm 118:19-20)
