The Creator gets blamed

Soul Snack 202/10 ... Fire or Fireplace?

A ruined hearth of heat-tortured bricks wound around an open fireplace.

Visible in its position and conspicuous in its purpose, it was a silent sentinel to warmth and well-being.

Who knows when it was built?

Who knows who built it?

No history known - no history required.

This hearth and fireplace were the legacy of the fine intentions of its builder.

Sadly, almost a generation ago now, this feature of harmony had raged uncontrollably and the house was lost.

The ruins now present were first built from goodwill. The designer had designed comfort and the builder had built it. Attended it would always be safe, unattended it would unleash fury.

No one was ever created for ill will, nor intended to receive rage. The Creator only made each one for harmony. Yet, when away from the Creator and left unattended, distress will come.

God made you to be a fireplace, sometimes we just feel we are vessels of fire. At such times our creator and builder is blamed, but we were never built to be left unattended by Him.

For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother's womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well. (Ps 139:13-14)
