WAKE ME UP WHEN I AM FAMOUS!
'WAKE ME UP WHEN I'M FAMOUS' is surely emblazoned upon any banner of self-entitlement.
The spirit of entitlement indiscriminately spreads its self-worship amongst those who don't bend the knee to Jesus, and those who do. God has become our amenity.
I wonder if this spirit is propagated by the overwhelming litigious nature of the western world as promoted by those who practise the Law disciplines?
Lawyers have more than just a vested interest in advertising for people to claim their rights, for they are the ones who stand to multiply profit for a false perpetuity.
Christendom's infiltration by this same indulgent thinking is:
It's ok to sin for all is grace,
It's ok to sin for sin requires no struggle,
It's ok to sleep in just one day per week and miss fellowship,
It's ok to find fault and accuse,
It's ok to expect my neighbor to bear my loads,
It's ok to offer my Lord only my cheap time, and
It's ok to neglect that I was bought at an eternal price.
This evil spirit seductively mingles a subtle transition through our thinking, it restrains us from Holy Spirit led acts of devotion, and the building up of another.
We each must daily remember we travel the path to Zion, but it still winds through Babylon. Our God is not our amenity, for then He would not be our Lord.
You are not your own, you have been bought at a price. (1 Corinthians 6:19-20)
