St Ignatius Prays Trust
Saint Ignatius of Loyola formed the religious society commonly called The Jesuits (The Society of Jesus). Loyola became honored especially as a spiritual director, having penned a classic of spiritual literature, the Spiritual Exercises.
Loyola was a teacher who walked his talk, including interrogation by the brutal Spanish Inquisition.
He prayed as he lived - in trust:
O Christ Jesus, when all is darkness and we feel our weakness and helplessness, give us the sense of Your presence, Your love, and Your strength. Help us to have perfect trust in Your protecting love and strengthening power, so that nothing may frighten or worry us, for, living close to You, we shall see Your hand, Your purpose, Your will through all things. AMEN
Blessed are those You choose and bring near to live in Your courts! We are filled with the good things of Your house, of Your holy temple. (Psalm 65:4)
