Bona-fide healthy and happy TV I can still clearly remember. "My 3 Sons", "Father knows best" and even "Leave it to Beaver."
One particularly comic, clever and simple show was "Kids say the darndest things" with Bill Cosby.
Children so accurately capture adulthood with their observant naivety. This, Bill Cosby could work so well. Such an innocent insight into an adult can have the sharpness of a sabre and the deftness of a scalpel.
My children are the same to me.
People were bringing little children to Jesus to have him touch them, but the disciples rebuked them. When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it." And he took the children in his arms, put his hands on them and blessed them. Mark 10:13-16
My hopelessness has been revealed in my childrens helplessness. I see things in them I want removed! I ask why do they do this? Silently their faithful eyes lovingly ascend to mine and reply - dad we are just copying you, we learnt this from you!
My children are the mirrors of heaven for my sin release!
