The Keys to Wisdom
SOUL SNACK 9/119 ... The Keys to Wisdom
Daily countless types of people criss-cross my paths.
The sanguine and the sullen, the jobless and the joyous, the restless and the peaceful will in some pre-ordained random fashion share shadows with me.For most there will be scant notice for, but some I will envy!
I envy the wise! The difficult task is in fact recognising them.
At least I already know that wisdom is not necessarily found in the halls of scholars, the educations of the elite or the captains of industry.
The Preacher holds the keys to this long sought vault.
He explains that wisdom is not found in shouting nor is it found in strength. Wisdom is absent from the loud as much as it is absent from louts.
Wisdom is found in the quietly spoken words and in the poor.
Wisdom is so often found in the places I am just not looking! Look for the keys in the pockets of the poor and listen for the voice of the quietly spoken.
So I said, "Wisdom is better than strength." But the poor man's wisdom is despised, and his words are no longer heeded. The quiet words of the wise are more to be heeded than the shouts of a ruler of fools. Eccl 9:16-17
