OO7 is arguably the world's most desired number. Emblazoned on 'T' Shirts, imprinted on number plates and enscribed upon modern folklore, it carries significant street cred and generates billions in revenue.
Since the mid 60s James Bond has been rescuing this world from any nemesis, fiend or threat that had originally come from Ian Fleming's fertile imagination. James Bond continues to bed fair maidens with amoral abandon and engage red blooded male and females in magnetic vicarious adventure.
Driving cars under water, jumping power boats through the sky or ejecting himself from Aston Martins are all joys to this British saviour. Rescuing the foolish, apprehending the villain or escaping the enemy all routine daily fare for James.
This ubiquitous world saviour for only half a century still holds no candle to the real one of twenty centuries ago, despite his sex appeal, marketing and blatant popularity.
00 Heaven has not been replaced as he aged.
00 Heaven has never changed bosses.
00 Heaven cries forgive them while 007 cries fight them.
00 Heaven lives in humility, 007 lives in hostility.
00 Heaven screams meekness, 007 screams might.
00 Heaven blesses the persecuted, 007 favors the powerful.
00 Heaven only needs to save the world once, 007 has to again and again.
00 Heaven is NOT honoured by the world, 007 is.
00 Heaven lives forever. OO7 doesn't.
