Soul Snack 78/10 ... Heaven's fabric
Undue, undeserved and unwarranted -- that is the very nature of mercy.
Thrown by pierced hands, from a body suspended upon an ancient near-eastern instrument of torture two millienia ago, was His ignored and almost unreceived mercy.
In a generation where captives were so brutally treated, this innocent captive released only love and not vengeance.
In unfathomable pain, the fresh plea from God nailed, is 'forgiveness' and not 'fury'.
Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing." (Lk 23:34a)
The mercy that grants forgiveness is Heaven's free tonic to the soul and life-giving elixir to the spirit.
Unmerited forgiveness is the fabric of Heaven, released so it will become the acceptable fashion of earth.
