The unabridged life is an examined life. A man who reckons with all his life is a man to be reckoned with.
Warts and war, love and longing, greed and goodness all linger within the span of a man's life! All need assessment and reconciliation within the soul.
To perceive life only from one perspective, to live for pleasure, to flee pain or simply seek for self, is never the construct of healthy living, thinking or relating.
The scan of my life must be diligently done. I must recall and learn from its terrors and triumphs, weepings and wonders, its challenges and chances! The naive ignore and the proud blame - but the humble assess!
The simple man will look for God's handprints across his life. The faithful man will see them and the wise man will say 'thanks'.
