Have you ever noticed that TV ads are louder than the TV programme?
Do you like another shouting at you?
Do you like your desires shouting at you?
Clamouring mercilessly for my attention are my demands and the demands of those around me.
Shouts come to claim us. They can even claim our lives. Pilate listened to shouting - they claimed Jesus' life.
But with loud shouts they insistently demanded that he be crucified, and their shouts prevailed. So Pilate decided to grant their demand. Lk 23:23-24
No wonder we miss God! No wonder we think He is silent! We just can't hear Him.
He is always opposite to how this world works.
He neither demands or commands our attention. He just invites with whispers.
In God's economy, whispers win!
