Soul Snack 8/70 ... Heaven's Vanguard -B


The midday haze of a dry Mediterranean heat or the chill of a barren winter landscape, held only adventure for these faithful and trained 'warriors'.

The unexpected would be guaranteed.

The kingdom of satan certain to be prematurely assailed.

The good news preached, lives would be healed and satan cast out. Adventure guaranteed!

Not one warrior would be alone. The marching orders so clear, so simple.

This consummate general so careful in His planning, so deliberate in His guidance.

He is dispatching a vanguard for His ensuing visit. He would waste no time. He would harbour no inefficencies.

His honour to trust me ahead of Him is most purposeful. Not many are leaders, and few have followers. Yet, this General would follow me. The architect of the universe has chosen me for His lead in this adventure.

After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them two by two ahead of him to every town and place where he was about to go ... When you enter a town and are welcomed, eat what is set before you. Heal the sick who are there and tell them, 'The kingdom of God is near you.' Lk 10:1,9-10


My task as His vanguard is to find where He is welcome. My honour is to introduce Him to these people, for He is already close to them.
