The soul is enslaved to the desires of the heart.
The daily yearnings, strivings and drivings all arise from the seat of emotion -- the heart.
Both the sunshine and the snow that canopies the soul are mulled from the storehouses of the heart.
The inner stirrings of men shine so brightly that they then construct outward behaviour's.
The heart is first the power to soul and then to the feet.
To understand correctly the heart's desire is to walk in the light.
To respond in righteousness to the heart's desires is to find liberation.
To correctly know the heart is to know true freedom.
Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. (Jn 8:32)
O Lord, thank-you that you know my heart so much better than I do. Free me from all that is within me that drives me but is not of you. I want your freedom and your passions alone. AMEN
