I have dwellt long, and long been fascinated by Jesus' appeal in Matthew 9:37-38, for this informs how to multiply ministry...
Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”
From His wisdom Jesus strategizes that the path to ministry growth is simply prayer.
HOW SIMPLE IS THAT!!!!
He does not harness a recruitment committee, engage an enlistment drive or advertise in Positions Vacant of The Jerusalem Daily, He simply calls for prayer.
It is prayer that is the yeast of ministry. Prayer ensures His kingdom will rise.
Hmm... I wonder if prayer indicates that each of us are really created to be heaven's knee bound bakers on earth?
It is our prayer that heaven hears and responds to, it is our prayer that multiplies God's influence.
Jesus does not invite or call for recruiters BUT only for pray-ers as His father does the recruiting.
Praying is baking for the Bread of Life.
