Not good enough?
Soul Snack 36/13 ... Not good enough?
Does your life's journey read like a postcard from prison?
Do sins still weigh too heavy?
Does the foolishness of your youth cast a long shadow upon the soul?
Does your poor history threaten your good present?
Are you assailed by self-doubt?
Has the welcome of the world eluded?
Have your relationships been sealed by exclusion?
Did your family not see value in you?
Have you been maligned by those closest?
Have those who shared your table betrayed you?
Has life conspired to leave you lonely with as much self-rejection as world-rejection?
Does every ounce of your fibre claim you are not good enough to approach God or enjoy a perfect father? After all God knows your darkest secrets, your private desires and your deepest distresses, how could there be a place for you? YET ...
Even the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may have her young a place near your altar, O Lord Almighty, my King and my God. (Ps 84:3)
BUT
Jesus says ~ Look at the birds of the air ... are you not much more valuable than they? (Mt 6:26)
The world does not mirror God's heart for you.
Today's Soul Snippet:
