The Mature Soul
Soul Snack 104/10 ... The Mature soul
The joy of a Divinely captured soul will always remove the loneliness of solitude.
Withdraw to taste the delights of the Lord and to feel that He is good.
Escape the commanding clamor that demands your attention and seeks to claim you from the God of love.
Unwholesome and unyielding are the demands that continually hinder stillness and convince you that solitude is only for the mystic or the shell-shocked Vietnam veteran.
The invitation from heaven is seeded in love and watered in goodness. It brings no harm to you, only a magnificient surrender from the things of this world, to the things of His world.
Heaven is tasted in the present, when you are alone in His presence.
Spiritual maturity is giving up the illusion that I can ever be alone. Tad Dunne
Taste and see that the LORD is good;
blessed is the man who takes refuge in him. (Ps 34:8)
