The Shining
Soul Snack 165/10 ... The Shining
Do you know that in the heavens your name is written but on earth you feel it's only scribbled?
Do you imagine that your brief days have been dabbed in blood and watered in tears?
Does your life have drawn curtains of sorrow that hide the joy of life as if it did not exist?
Does your very existence cry out for God's presence, knowing your every breath is drawn from Him alone?
Have the streets of your life been fenced with the palings of suffering and secured by the nails of hardship?
Above this enduring fenced in darkness glows the beams of His light.
The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not overcome it. (Jn 1:5)
Piercing the gaps between the palings and flowng around the posts to you, is an interrupted and inviting light. It is always there because darkness cannot overcome light.
Of this I know and this I am sure, Jesus always beams on the poor.
