Crossing Jordan - C
Soul Snack 75/10 ... Crossing Jordan - C
A flooded Jordan, a promised land and miracles by the 'bucket-load', all spell the fodder for a Hollywood blockbuster. This is exactly what the Israelites lived out, about 3,500 years ago.
It takes courageous faith to step into floods, but such bold faith will always be rewarded.
To be in His promised land, is Eden for you. God changes the wilderness to a warehouse when His promises are received.
Steps of faith are the path to prosperity for His own. Floods are fear inducing, but faith is fear removing.
As the Israelites entered the promised land, I wonder if they could see the walls of Jericho? Very soon this would be their next battle.
"About forty thousand armed for battle crossed over (the Jordan) before the LORD to the plains of Jericho for war." (Josh 4:13)
With dry feet and a strengthened faith, immediately the Israelites were required to face the might of Jericho, 'The City of Palm Trees', if the land of Canaan was to become theirs. Verdant, well-watered land was to be theirs. This was so much more desirable than the desert of Sinai, yet still much faith was required.
Successful steps of faith don't mean that the battles are over, but they do mean you are in a far superior position to win the next one.
