Escape to Hope
Soul Snack 25/11 ... Escape to Hope
Remember your Creator
in the days of your youth,
before the days of trouble come
and the years approach when you will say,
“I find no pleasure in them”— (Eccl 12:1)
Have you arrived at a point where little pleasure is felt by you in life?
Does your spirit feel that the favors of life have eluded you?
Do you see a personal history almost devoid of graceful interchange?
Does your soul believe in a love that is absent?
Has escape become the harvest of your heart?
In Australia the popular advertising idiom for movie-goers is escape to the movies.
The reliable Christian idiom is escape to God.
Escape is found in solitude. God is known in stillness. Refreshment is then found from His hope. and finally renewal arrives as strength.
But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint. (Is 40:31)
Today's Soul Snippet:
Many spend more time on learning about the Lord, than sitting with the Lord.
