  • Lightning is about 3 times hotter than our Sun.
  • There are stars that are over 600,000 times as bright as the Sun.
  • It is estimated that only 10% of the universe is visible.
Do these facts strike you - how about these?
  • The sun is a minor star among 100 billion others in the Milky Way.
  • a black hole is a region of space in which the gravitational field is so powerful that nothing, including light can escape it.
  • Constellation Arneb is 1283 light years away.(I can't grasp that one at all)
A wounded ungloved hand generously yet painfully reaches through all the above which is incomprehensible, to this rebel.

Soft eyes of kindness glow lovingly bright beyond the reach of my understanding for this insignificant item, amongst the vast panorama of creation.

Immeasurable and unobserved love cascades from an imponderable Above. It is poured across the unnoticed and the unimportant.

His divine hands relish the task of up-ending this bottomlessgrace-filled bucket and drenching all under it.

It is absolutely staggering to me that the God of this staggeringly incomprehensible universe is even interested in its minutae and especially interested in me. Stagger me ... but He is!

When I consider your heavens,
       the work of your fingers,
       the moon and the stars,
       which you have set in place,                                                             what is man that you are mindful of him,
       the son of man that you care for him? Ps 8:3-4
