Finding Fear
Soul Snack 93/13 ... Finding Fear
A scholar I am not; as abundant evidence I leave behind a trail of unnerved yet true scholars who have painfully attempted to educate me. Christians worldwide have bitten into this cozy fruit from the Tree of Knowledge; while the Tree of Life still counsels - fear Him who has the power of the second death (see Lk 12:5). Consider, each tomorrow carries its own fair share of surprize.
A healthy dose of knee-felt trembling before the Divine will correct so many Christian maladies these days.
Husbands will be gentle with their wives, pastors will not lord it over their flocks and brothers will no longer sue brothers; for the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge and the conduit of wisdom.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction. (Prov 1:7)
God is not scared of you but you still need to be scared of Him.
