Knowledge and depth of insight are two most compelling attributes to hold.The world is hollow on both these points. They are found in praying.
And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight ... Phil 1:9
How do you pray for yourself? How do you pray for your friends?
Have you ever prayed that your love may be in abundance?
There is a simple formula here that the apostle Paul is teaching:
Knowledge + depth of insight = abundant love.
The ancient and very troubled prophet Jeremiah knew deep insight was available 6 centuries prior to Paul.
'Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.' Jer 33:3
People can know deeper things because God invites us to ask. Is the real advantage of deeper insight found in understanding how to love well, how to love abundantly?
The more I receive understanding, the more opportunities for His selfless love to be demonstrated I will see. Abundant love will then be mine.
Abundant love is received through abundant prayer.
