Soul Snack 9/15 ... The Trust Table

The fickle fancies of relationships can either compel or dispel trust.

Separating the two seated men is an imposing mahogany table. Across this table of trust a white sleeved arm generously slides a full envelope. A needy and trusting hand responds, also outstretched willing to receive the enevelope. Around this table fly heavenly creatures beyond human description. The air is engulfed in music and praise that too is truly out of this world

Contained within the envelope are various items for personal repair, relational strengths and an everlasting joy. The replying arm takes the envelope, now humbly conscious of his needful weaknesses. He will be eternally thankful for its contents.

With His customary practice of reversing human ways God has entrusted His teachings to bring His good to His peoples. Outstretched arms give these precious deposits that are only available from His throne.

They are His personal investments in His own.

Not only does God invest His teaching in me - but more importantly for me, He trusts His teaching with me.

God knows I am weak (Rms 6:19) - so He trusts that which is stronger than I, with me.

But thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you wholeheartedly obeyed the form of teaching to which you were entrusted. Romans 6:17

Father,

Thankyou for seeing my weaknesses and trusting your Word with Me. Amen
