Soul Snack 8/205 ... The Silver Bullet

The Lone Ranger and his faithful sidekick Tonto were the saviours of many an American settler. His trade mark deposit was a silver bullet. The spent shell always evidence of his presence, but never to his identity.

Since then his 'silver bullet' has become verbal shorthand for a quick fix, an easy salvation or an instant correction. The 'silver bullet' is synonymous with no effort, life changing turn arounds.

C.T.Studd the famous African missionary and philanthropist first applied as a missionary to China with Hudson Taylor. Desiring to not learn arguably the most difficult language in the world, his response was to pray for the supernatural gift of tongues. He was seeking a supernatural silver bullet. Pain is always finite, pleasure will become infinite.

Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Col 3:1
