Soul Snack 8/180 ... OO Heaven
OO7 is arguably the world's most desired number. Emblazoned on 'T' Shirts, imprinted on number plates and enlisted on modern folklore, it carries great 'street cred' and generates billions in revenue.
Since the mid 60s James Bond has been rescuing this world from any nemesis, fiend or threat that had come originally from Ian Fleming's fertile imagination. James Bond continues to bed fair maidens with amoral abandon and engage every red blooded male in delightful vicarious adventure.
Driving cars under water, jumping power boats through the sky or ejecting himself from Aston Martins all joys to this British saviour. Rescuing the foolish, apprehending the villain or escaping the enemy all routine daily fare for James.
This ubiquitous world saviour for only half a century still holds no candle to the real one of 20 centuries ago, despite his sex appeal and blatant popularity.
OO Heaven has not been replaced as he aged.
OO Heaven has never changed bosses.
OO Heaven cries forgive them while OO7 cries fight them.
OO Heaven lives in humility, OO7 lives in hostility.
OO Heaven screams meekness, OO7 screams might.
OO Heaven blesses the persecuted, OO7 blesses the powerful.
OO Heaven only needs to save the world once, OO7 has to keep trying again.
OO Heaven is NOT honoured by the world, OO7 is.
OO Heaven lives forever. OO7 doesn't.
