Soul Snack 8/132 ... Power for Earth
Criss-crossing this world, maybe even 'littering' earth, are those struggling for the good Lord Jesus.
With great hindrance and little relief God's word reaches forth to unbelievers. Enemies of Jesus, enemies to those who carry His precious deposit, assail and assault the faithful continually.
These witnesses of grace seek to bring acceptable service to Christ and long to be rescued from the enemy. They desire deeply just to do His will.
What part can I play? How can I share? Surely middle class western suburbia precludes any such intervention? Even in my own town, how do I help those struggling is service? How may I forge a partnership, maybe give unseen support?
The apostle Paul knew this dilemma so clearly and responds from great experience - PRAY!
I urge you, brothers, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love of the Spirit, to join me in my struggle by praying to God for me. Roms 15:30
Paul knew intimately the power of prayer - no wonder he requests it. Paul knew that prayer is impacting earth via heaven. Prayer that assaults the heavens releases good power that is returned to earth.(see also Rev 8:1-5)
