Prisoners in a Passive War.
Eve became the first prisoner of a passive war. There were no gunshots, I.E.Ds or bombs, no pain or even tears.
Eve stood naively naked in Eden. Adam stood timidly by her side. The serpent held Eve's attention and whispered in her ear.
Satan invited Eve to exchange harmony for knowledge, unwittingly and disobediently she obliged.
(Literally satan's invitation to Eve was to lose Eden, so as to gain evil.)
God created a world with balance into which satan offered a life of extremes.
As the preacher wrote thousands of years ago ... there is nothing new under the sun (Eccl 1:9). This remains true - satan still makes the same offers.
God gave passion, satan offers anger.
God gave strength, satan offers violence.
God gave love, satan offers lust.
God gave desire, satan offers greed.
God gave purity, satan offers filth.
God gave generosity, satan offers selfishness.
God gave pleasure, satan offers indulgence.
God gave righteousness, satan offers sin.
Notice please - each one of God's gifts issues in rest; each one of satan's offers leads to restlessness.
We are all still prisoners within the same passive war, accepting daily identical evil gifts (and most of us do not even know).
Passive assaults are the hardest to recognize for they are war by stealth.
Daily satan offers to imprison you, but daily Jesus wants to free you.

Jesus' tomb is empty so you don't have to be.
