Should Your Hills Fall
The Psalmists knew God as their life's constant, their foundations, their ever present 'go-to' person.
To this very day the writers of The Psalms share their inner most thoughts:
The Lord is upright - He is my Rock and there is no wickedness in Him... when anxiety was great within me, His consolation brought joy to my soul... because... He has become my fortress, and my God the Rock in whom I take refuge.#
The Psalmist's hope camps with God whether the day hangs bleak or beams bright.
He who echoes the Psalmist lays hold of treasures without measure.
Heaven's treasures can't fade, rust or fail. They are discovered from the thirsts of the soul. Earth holds no competitor to such wealth. No man can buy them.
Let us give up our work, our thoughts, our plans, ourselves, our lives, our loved ones, our influence, our all, right into His hand, and then, when we have given all over to Him, there will be nothing left for us to be troubled about, or to make trouble about. ~ James Hudson Taylor
From the ends of the earth I call to you, I call as my heart grows faint; lead me to the rock that is higher than I. (Psalm 62:1)
Today's Soul Snippet:
'Peace if possible, but truth at any rate'. ~ Martin Luther
