Scripture is never alone
Arguably the measure of Protestant confessions is the Westminster Confession of Faith, correctly it declares until Jesus' return:
The whole counsel of God concerning all things necessary for ... faith and life is either expressly set down in Scripture, or by good and necessary consequence may be deduced from Scripture.
Those who reason that faith commands the Scriptures will never be led into error. The apparent conundrums of the Bible are to be held in tension and not dismissed. When reason can not satisfy human logic, no part of the Bible is to be dismissed. Woe-betide he who meddles with it, for it is a man's Christian faith that is active in his redemption. Without faith not one can please God.
As wonderful and unique as Scripture is, God, in His kindness, never gives Scripture alone. God gives believers His Holy Spirit of Truth to plant insight and to incline our wills to honor God. (Rev. Archie Poulos)
Within a few hours of His death, Jesus promised His disciples, all disciples, any time:
If you love Me, keep My commands. And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Counselor to help you and be with you forever— the Spirit of Truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you (John 14:15-17)
The Last Word:
We must continue reading all of Scripture until we each meet Him. Invite the Holy Spirit to help.
