The Importance of Being Earnest....#

Prayer can often be a cleansing of the soul, it is a great detergent. (Leonard Ravenhill)

Satan would whisper prayer is hollow, a chasing after the wind. However contrary to the lies of the evil one, prayer sows fruit that will last, and builds a work that will survive. An obscure prayer reference (Revelation 8:1-5) explains that an angel of the Lord guarantees the passage of our prayers to The Throne of Grace. Prayer gets through. From such knowledge the heart yielded to repentance is truly an open garden, a new Eden for the Lord to sow in.

To be earnest in prayer is to take up the battle to all its confronting hindrances.

J.O. Fraser, pioneer missionary to Burma, elevated the value of prayer:

Just as a plant may die for lack of watering so may a genuine work of God die and rot for lack of prayer.

The prayers of a heart indicate the pulse of a believer's spiritual life. Prayer action is ministry traction.

The Last Word:

Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know. (Jeremiah 33:3)
