The Pillow for all Struggles
The believer learns enormously more in lament than in laughter. As with the scared apostle Peter (while walking on water) the Lord's safe outstretched arm is already there.
When the struggles are long, and the lights of faith dim, this request resonates - lead me to the rock that is higher than I. ~ Psalm 61:2
- Be my rock of refuge, to which I can always go ... for you are my rock and refuge. ~ Psalm 71:3
- Put your hope in the Lord, both now and forever more. ~ Psalm 131:3
- ... holy brothers fix your thoughts on Jesus, the apostle and high priest we confess. ~ Hebrews 3:1
- Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive eternal life. ~ James 1:12
- According to His promise we are waiting for new heavens and a new earth, the home of righteousness. ~ 2 Peter 3:13
- There will be no more night ... for the Lord God will give them light. ~ Revelation 22:5
Seek the city to come, it holds no darkness.
The Last Word:
Rest in the Word, it is the pillow for all struggles.
