Perfection knows no shame
Perfection is a 'blindness', for it knows no shame.
The man and his wife were both naked, and they felt no shame. (Genesis 2:25)
The Lord recorded what Adam and Eve could not have known. "They were wise and not confused." ~ anon
It is interesting to note that the concept of 'shame' was not in Eden, yet it was quickly mentioned in the Bible. Surely there may have been something 'higher', such as 'love' mentioned, but it wasn't.
Maybe God could have spoken/wrote this, but He didn't:
The man and his wife were both naked, and they felt love.
Now wind the clock further a mere miniscule of time (or just a few verses) and they felt shame, or did they? Fear is expressed by Adam.
... then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realised they were naked; ... and I was afraid because I was naked... (Genesis 3:4 & 7)
Verse seven proved that innocence is a shelter from sin, in fact perfection is 'blindness'.
The Last Word:
If innocence is the shelter from sin, shame is sin's reminder. Thank God for shames.
