Navigating life well
Soul Snack 156/10 ... The Set of the Sail
The joy of life seeped through his spirit as thoroughly as blood coursed through his body.
A head held high, a body erect and a heart of health sung in unison to the Author of his goodness.
Grasping life's betterment and guided by his deliberate search for goodness, had always been how he set his sail each day.
He knew people with tattered sails, people with sails still lashed to the boom and lovingly he prayed for those with no sails. Yet each morning he would raise his sail aloft to catch the good winds of life that would blow upon him that day and set his course.
Every day his sail was raised upon his knees as he looked to give thanks and desired to give praise. Each day the breath of God's spirit would fill his sails.
Daily, he set his sails to catch the light winds of dawn - at dawn, so by the time the day's gales blew up he was already correctly on course.
