My Image Carries My Beauty!
The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands. (Psalm 19:1)
A gardener's eyes and thoughts wandered past his freshly trimmed hedge. A 'new' panorama captured his sight.
Wistfully he gazed above the distant gums, he felt a beckoning. He allowed his eyes to drift with the breeze as it glided through the canopy. It was as if its foliage waved to him alone, inviting a deeper meaning.
"Think bigger and live larger - this existence is no accident", the canopy shouted as it partly obscured perfect skies.
Above the canopy the blue sky honored the trees' beauty with a garland of its own.
Without either volume or voice the sky shouted of Him, for Him and specifically to him.
Spurred on by this declaration of the heavens the man's thoughts spun. His mind rolled over and over from inspiration, he gasped:
- the hands that made such beauty also made me,
- this world is fleetingly beautiful, but I am infinitely precious.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful ... (Psalm 139:14)
His bliss concluded as God 'spoke' again ... "all the works of my hands are externally beautiful, but only My image carries My beauty within. You are My image!"
So God created man in His own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female He created them. (Genesis 1:27)
