Living in Babylon, motoring to Zion

We must shelter in our hearts no rival to God. ~ A.W. Pink

Arising after the flood subsided mankind's first kingdom began. Nimrod was its king. Babylon became its name and its reputation was corruption. Nothing has changed.

Babylon enters a Christian's heart, with its own version of 'faith' promoted every minute of every day. .

The acquiescence to this world's pleasures suffocates good doctrine and righteousness as Babylon too invades the pulpit and the weekly bulletin.

Babylon is both the dwelling of earthly security and Divine threat.

Righteousness is the highway of holiness. Babylon carries absolutely no interest towards purity, only corruption.

The object of faith is the guarantor of the future to be gained.

All are living in Babylon, a world of confusion, and it delights in denying Jesus. The true Christian motors to Zion from Babylon, but not with Babylon.

Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved His appearing. (2 Timothy 4:7-8)

The Last Word:

The Christian believer shines as the alternative to the world (Babylon), not living in agreement with it.
