Living Beyond the Sky
All creatures great and small await their appointed seasons and times. These are of Heaven and cannot be contained, changed or controlled.
What is under the sky cannot alter what is above the sky. No man can push the sky away.
It is helplessness alone, an oh so willing surrender that God seeks from a man.
And it is from a perceptive man's bumbling and humbling incompetence that he finally marries Heaven's omnipotence.
The opposite is also true. It is from the neglect of God that powerlessness is pursued and fruitlessness is harvested.
A life that bears power and fruit is the product of worship, a moving beyond the sky.
Jesus gave them this answer: ‘Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does. (John 5:19)
The Lord's hunger for mankind is that mankind should hunger for Him. Then man can know his work for the Lord supported by the agreement of Heaven.
No man can be so yielded to Jesus that they are too heavenly minded to be of any earthly use.
